Spent this Sunday at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz! Note to self, make sure to leave early to avoid traffic when you know that many people are also heading to the same destination. It took some people six hours to get there because the traffic was intense. If you ever need a taxi driver, call up Tejas because he will get you wherever you want in a timely fashion. He will cut people in traffic with no remorse. We even avoided a twenty minute wait for a parking lot because he cut to the front of the line. haha!
The weather was nice and sunny but going bare-footed in the sand was like walking over hot coals. People covered the beach and the rides had long lines. Ryan and I went to the O’Neil shop and bought matching dark blue tank tops. He also bought this cool straw hat. Kinda looks like those hats that Asian people wear when working in the field. Later on at night, Janette bought the same tank. Yay for triplets!
It felt good to finally play some volleyball again. The number 9.8 is not the weight, in ounces, of Derrick Rose’s new basketball shoes. It’s probably my serving percentage in volleyball today, which is pretty darn bad. lol. My feet still feel like they are burning but it was really fun to get some exercise done on such a nice day.
At the end of the afternoon, the sand had cooled and it was time to relax. Aaron dug himself a seat in the sand. It looked comfortable and so made one as well and laid down into it. Best idea all day! It was so refreshing and it gives you that kind of natural feeling when you are outdoors. Never going to bring beach chairs again. haha. Overall, I really enjoyed going to the beach today! Hmm its two in the morning, which means.. Happy Fourth of July!! Have a good one! Seriously. It’s good to unwind yourself every now and then.
Two words of the day:
1. “Chunky”. Someone used this word to describe the girl that he is attracted to. He says the girl isn’t skinny and not fat, but she is “chunky”. Not quite sure I understand but it must be a good thing!
2. “Argh”. Actually, this is more of a sound rather than a word. Whenever this girl bumped the volleyball, she would “argh!”. It sounds like the grunt that female tennis players make when they hit the ball. I thought it was funny. lol.
Oh one last thing! Someone told me today that my arms look a little bigger. Does that mean that going to the gym and working out is working? I really hope so!
